tutorial ini saya buat berdasarkan praktek saya di sekolah. Adapun cara atau langkah-langkah membuat routing di Suse 10.2*, yaitu:

Pada komputer Router

1. Install Suse 10.2*
2. Install software-software yang di butuhkan unuk membuat routing. Seperti: mc, link, bind, apache, dns dan dhcp.
3. Setelah selesai atur IP pada komputer dengan masuk YAST > network device > Network Card > Tradisional… > pilih nama LAN Card yang tersambung jaringan internet > Edit > pilih “Static Address Setup” > isi “IP Address” dengan 192.168.1.107 > Isi “Netmask” dengan 255.255.255.0 > Hostname and Name Server > Isi “Hostname” dengan tkj07 > Isi “domain name” dengan tkjsmkn3.net > isi “Name Server 1″ dengan 202.134.0.155 > isi ” Name Server 2″ dengan 202.134.1.10 > isi “Name Server 3″ dengan 10.10.10.1 > Next > Routing > isi ” Default Gateway” dengan 192.168.1.1 > aktifkan Enable IP Forwarding > Next > Next > pilih Lan Card yang tersambung dengan Client > Edit > isi “IP Address” dengan 192.168.50.1 > isi ” Netmask” dengan 255.255.255.0 > Next > Finish > Quit.
4. Tambahkan DNS router komputer dengan cara masuk YAST > Network Service > DNS server > Forwarder > isi “IP Adress” dengan IP – IP yang dapat menjadi DNS router, seperti : 202.134.0.155; 202.134.1.134; 192.168.1.1; 192.168.1.1 > Add > Finish.
5. Buat file Routing dengan ketik “vi routing”
6. Kemudian isi file tersebut dengan:

7. aktifkan routing dengan ketik ” chmod u+x routing “

8. kemudian jalankan routing dengan ketik ” ./routing “

9. Non Aktifkan firewall dengan masuk yast > security … > firewall > Stop Firewall.. > finish.

Pada komputer client :

1. Install Ubuntu
2. Atur IP pada komputer tersebut dengan klik System > Preferences > Network Connections > Sorot pada ” eth0 ” > Edit > IPv4 setting > Pilih ” manual ” > pilih ” Add” > isi “IP Adress” dengan 192.168.50.2 > isi “Netmask” dengan 255.255.255.0 > isi “default gateway” dengan 192.168.50.1 > Apply.
3. kemudian masuk ke “terminal” dengan klik Applications > Accesories > Terminal
4. Ping ke 192.168.50.1
5. ping ke 192.168.1.1
6. ping www.google.com**

** jika berhasil berarti setting routing berhasil. jika tidak berhasil maka reboot komputer router.
